Roger Waters - “Give Birth to a Smile”
On this day in 1970, the soundtrack album Music from The Body was released. The work was a collaboration between Roger Waters of Pink Floyd fame and British composer Ron Geesin (best known for his work on the title track of the 1970 Pink Floyd album Atom Heart Mother).
The final track off the album, “Give Birth to a Smile,” features performances by David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Richard Wright, making it a sort of uncredited Pink Floyd track. The track was composed exclusively by Waters, but Geesin is heard playing the piano.
